Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 Plus Announced

One of the hottest Android releases in 2020 has arrived on the market. Samsung’s newest tablets hit the stores on September 18th. The prices for the Galaxy Tab S7 start at $649.99 while the superior S7 Plus is priced at a minimum of $849.99, meaning that Android fans will have to shell out quite a bit of money to get their hands on this new release.

The new Galaxy Tabs are larger, brighter, thinner, and equipped with some of the latest tech you’d expect to see in a high-end tablet. As reviews have already started rolling in, Android users all over the globe are able to get a glimpse of the S7 and S7 Plus.

The first feature most people notice is the screen. The Tab S7 Plus is massive, with a 12.4-inch 120Hz OLED display. The Tab S7 has a less impressive 11″ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The colors are as vibrant as you’d expect from a screen of this type, and the quick refresh rate is a welcome addition.

Other than the screen, another selling point for these tablets lies in their weight and their size. While the screen is sizeable, the tablet itself is thin and weighs a maximum of 1.3 lbs for the Tab S7 Plus. However, some users remark that the design itself is not too inspired and closely resembles an iPad Pro.

Both Tabs run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus, which is the latest Android processor on the market. It’s still too early to get an accurate description of the performance the Tabs have, but the first reviewers have mixed opinions on the matter. The tablets are also equipped with extra features such as a fingerprint reader and facial recognition. Both of the devices offer two storage options: 128 GB and 256GB.

Samsung has announced far and wide that the new Galaxy Tabs will offer 5G compatibility, and some of them do. The more expensive models can connect to 5G, and these Tabs are priced between $849 and $1,049.

As with any new release, the Samsung Galaxy Tabs have generated a fair amount of hype — whether they will live up to it still remains to be seen.
