Google Pixel 8 Pro Review

There are many smartphones available out there for Android smartphone enthusiasts. Finding a phone that would fit into my daily routine was such a task at first.

Am I a casual smartphone user? Absolutely yes. I was wondering about which phone to buy in 2024. The Pixel 8 Pro price dropped after the Pixel 9 series launched, so I went ahead and purchased it.

I’d like to share how my experience with the Google Pixel 8 Pro. It’s really improved my time using Android smartphones. The timely software updates and standardized expertise delivered by the Google Pixel 8 Pro surely make it worth my money.

Not every smartphone can ensure the best user experience, and not every smartphone has lived up to my expectations as seamlessly as the Google Pixel 8 Pro. It sure has a few negligible shortcomings, but there is no denying that it has made my life easier.

A Brief Look at Google Pixel 8 Pro

Google Pixel 8 Pro

The Google Pixel 8 Pro was released on October 12, 2023, with a starting price of $999 for the 128GB model. It features 12GB of RAM and the Tensor G3 chip. This casual Android smartphone offers AI-enabled features, and its new processor is key to enjoying a seamless Android user experience. You might find a better deal on the Pixel 8 in certain places since the Pixel 9 just launched.

Well, I was definitely looking for an Android smartphone that could live up to my expectations of an Android smartphone and help me expand my online business operations effortlessly. I would say that I can count on the Google Pixel 8 Pro for my professional and personal needs. It delivers more than just a brand-new design, that’s for sure.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone delivers casual users a higher storage option, starting from 128GB for base models, and it also caters to those who need more with 256GB, 512GB, and even a massive 1TB model. Running errands every now and then made me want to purchase this smartphone suitable for my heavy storage needs. It is one of their priciest Pixel smartphones to date, but I bagged it after the Pixel 9 series launched at a good deal.

Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone is a convincing purchase for existing Pixel smartphone users like me. I don’t regret buying it. I don’t think every enthusiast who wants to buy the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone would be able to afford it, unless there is a good deal online.

Google Pixel 8 Pro Review: A Phone for Casual Smartphone Users

Google Pixel Pro

Google Pixel 8 Pro’s Design

I found the Google Pixel 8 Pro offered more value than my previous Google Pixel smartphone. It felt more luxurious and performed better. I found the Google Pixel 8 Pro’s flat display to be a perfect fit and have a flattering profile. The Google Pixel 8 Pro also offers a visor-like camera module at the back, just like the previous Google Pixel smartphone. The back camera is also as chunky as the last model.

The Google Pixel 8 Pro does have sharper camera module edges unlike the Pixel 7 model. Thus, I could enjoy a good hold over the phone by resting my index finger below it for a better hold. I did find the rear panel of this Google Pixel smartphone to be a bit slippery but I could rest my fingers on this model much better than the last year one.

Right Weight with Great Durability

Some new Google Pixel 8 smartphone buyers like me have shared their satisfactory experience after purchasing this smartphone. This smartphone feels neither too heavy nor too light and comes with a solid build quality. The Google Pixel 8 smartphone does come with a similar IP68 rating to last year’s Pixel.

Google Pixel 8 Pro’s Performance: Tensor G3 Shines

When it comes to the Android smartphone experience being engaging and worthwhile, the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone did not disappoint me. This new Pixel smartphone has the Tensor G3 chipset. It made running my business efficient and its battery lasted for 48 hours straight.

Storage and Connectivity

The Google Pixel 8 Pro model did shine as per my experience. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage offered by this model easily fits in my check box. I was not taken aback by its no additional sim card slot option and no expandable storage. However, I could use their eSim functionality for both of my numbers. In addition, the Google Pixel 8 Pro extends support for a wide range of global positioning systems. I would rate the Google Pixel 8 Pro 8/10 in terms of connectivity.

Unique Features and Innovations

I could use the Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphone to check the surface temperature of many materials. I hope they add the body temperature checker soon. The wire and wireless charging options is what I looked forward to most, and Google Pixel 8 Pro didn’t disappoint. The new AI wallpaper feature is exclusive to the Google Pixel 8 and Google Pixel 8 Pro smartphones.

Overall Experience

The Google Pixel 8 Pro is a good option amongst Google Pixel models. The hands-free experience that the Google Pixel 8 Pro offers to smartphone users I felt is more successful than that on the Google Pixel 7 Pro. These capabilities of the Pixel 8 Pro is what puts it in line with other bestsellers.

Summary

To summarize, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is set to become one of the most widely used Google Pixel smartphones in history. Many tech enthusiasts have spoken of this Google Pixel smartphone in their reviews and claimed it to be capable and well-designed.

Game-changing Android smartphones like the Google Pixel 8 Pro need to be more genuinely priced so everyone can afford to purchase them. I made the switch to the Google Pixel 8 smartphone, but the only drawback that I want them to work on is their price point.

If the price of the Google Pixel 8 Pro had not dropped after the Google Pixel 9 launch, I would have thought of purchasing something else that fit into my budget.
