Leverage is an American crime drama television series that aired from the end of 2008 to the end of 2012. The show revolves around a five-person team: a computer hacker, a grifter, and a retrieving specialist. They are led by Nathan Ford, who combines the team’s skills to ward off high-ranking injustices to citizens. Several TV shows are similar to this movie, including The Blacklist, The Blindspot, and Money Heist.

The Blacklist

The Blacklist is an exciting crime series that packs action and suspense, keeping you asking for more. The show follows Reddington, a notorious high-profile criminal, who gives himself up to the FBI but with an ulterior motive. The FBI is more than happy to arrest him because he has eluded them for years. He asks for immunity in exchange for a list of the most dangerous criminals in the world.

Reddington has compiled an extensive list of dangerous criminals and terrorists, some unknown to the FBI, making it impossible to resist his offer. To catch them, he insists that he will only work with Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI agent. We only get to learn the significance of his choice of the rookie agent later on in the show. The title of every episode corresponds to a name on the blacklist.

The Blindspot

Police call FBI special agent Kurt into the investigation of Jane Doe, a mysterious, amnesic woman with a tattoo of his name on her body. The series begins dramatically when the police find the body of Jane Doe in the streets of NY inside a travel bag. The police cautiously approach the bag, thinking it is a time-set bomb only for Jane Doe to walk out fully naked and tattooed all over her body.

It turns out that Jane Doe is a treasure trove of hidden meanings. Even though she has lost her memory, Jane Doe has many useful physical features. For example, the FBI discovers that the mysterious tattoos are clues to crimes and the lead investigator realizes that he knows her as a long-lost childhood friend. The show has so many twists and turns bound to keep you entertained throughout its five seasons.

Money Heist

Adios boring crime drama and holá Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), an intriguing, action-packed, Spanish crime drama series. The show features an initial cast of eight robbers of different talents who come together to stage the biggest heists the world has ever seen. They are brought together by the mysterious Professor, a character who is more a criminal mastermind than a crime lord. To hide their identities from each other, they adopt nicknames of cities.

The show is about two heists by the Professor who enlists the robbers’ help to pull them off. The first heist is on the Royal Mint of Spain, where they plan to steal more than €2 billion. As so often happens with plans, even for those as meticulously laid down by the Professor himself, things do not go to plan. Enter the second heist, but this time, the target is the Bank of Spain.
