Apple Watch Ultra 2

It’s been almost a year, I have been using Apple Watch Ultra 2, and I definitely don’t regret my investment even a bit because it’s by far the best smartwatch you will ever use.

You will notice Ultra 2 doesn’t look much different from the previous model, except it has features way better than you can imagine. Though it’s not the cheapest, I can assure, the investment is worth it because of all the things that come with the watch and how good it will look on your wrist.

Before you decide to get Apple Ultra 2, let me share my experience so you all can get an idea of what to expect and if it’s the right choice for you.

What’s New in Apple Watch Ultra 2?

It’s not just the size, but there are other things as well that makes Ultra 2 the best Apple smartwatch ever. With a 49-mm titanium-made case, it hooks your attention the first time you lay your eyes on it, but despite the large size, it doesn’t feel heavy on your wrist and that’s what I like about it.

Besides accessing Apple modes, you can now use the big “Action” button to use the apps you download from the Apple App Store, a feature that was not present in the previous model.

The biggest change comes with the S9 chip because it not only enhances performance, but also lets you use the watch without lagging, something we all hate.

With the double tap mode, when you tap your finger twice, it lets you scroll through the widgets in the Smart Screen display or simple pause the music, and since it’s a new feature, you may need a few tries before you master it.

Features & Tracking 📊

There’s no denying Apple Watch Ultra 2 is built for sports enthusiasts because of all the tracking features included in it, and the good thing is it covers most of the stuff with track running, treadmill, and outdoor modes.

My favorite update is, of course, the Training Load, which collects your biometric data and rates it daily based on the input provided. Even the Effort Rating feature is great because it lets you adjust the scores depending on the amount of effort you put in during your workout sessions.

Is the Apple Watch Ultra 2 Waterproof? 💦

Before the Ultra 2, I always took my watch off whenever water was involved. I didn’t fully trust the waterproof feature at first. But now, I just leave it on. I’ve worn it to the beach, while swimming, snorkeling, and even on light dives. It works perfectly. The screen locks automatically underwater, so no accidental touches, and unlocking it afterward takes just a second.

Battery Life🔋

Now let me tell you about the battery life because that’s one important thing you cannot ignore, no matter how good the watch is. Well, a single charge lasts up to 1.5 days for general use and 12 hours if you use GPS, which I think is pretty good, but could have been better.

As for the overnight battery burn, it loses about 10%, which is quite high compared to some other smartwatches and, of course, reduces its potential.

Final Verdict – Is the Apple Watch Ultra 2 Worth It?

In my opinion, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is a great buy, especially if you are a fitness freak like me and need a wearable to track your metrics. Leaving the average battery life, everything about this watch is worth it, and you should definitely go for it.
