When I first thought about trying the PS5 web browser, I could not find it. Maybe Sony did not want me to find this hidden browser in the first place. But it was not even that hard to get my hands on the hidden PS5 web browser. 

How to Access PS5 Web Browser

I wanted to access this hidden PS5 web browser. I will not deny the fact that I had to work around a bit. I was able to access the PS5 web browser using the sign-in page of Google. The sign-in Google page popped up when I was linking my YouTube account to the console. I maneuvered my way to the Google search page and even visited some websites. 

My PS5 was up to date at the time, so I could proceed swiftly with the process. I first opened the “Settings” tab, then the “User And Accounts tab.” Next, I opened the “Linked Services” tab and selected the “YouTube” option from the listed services there. My YouTube account was not linked already, so there was no need for me to unlink it before proceeding to the next step. Next, I selected the “Link Account” option, followed by the “Use Browser” option.

I saw the Google sign-in page appear but the address bar was locked. I used the left analog in order to move the cursor. I selected the ‘Terms’ option. I pushed the right analog stick down in order to scroll to the bottom and select in the footer, “Google.”

Next, the open basic version of the Google Search page will open. I selected the search bar and entered my query using a virtual keyboard. I also selected the “Search button,” in order to get the search started. 

My search results appeared in the browser. I clicked on each link to visit the page linked to the search result. And viola, that’s how I made it to the hidden PS5 web browser. 

The Takeaway

A web browser is usually very basic with nothing fancy. The PS5 web browser helped me read articles, visit streaming sites such as Twitch and YouTube videos. I easily logged into my facebook account. But the PS5 web browser looks a bit downgraded from my experience. I could use the PS5 web browser to visit websites that have text, videos, and images. Overall, the PS5 web browser is a fully functional option.
