Starting with price and storage options, we have to credit the Xiaomi 14 Pro for offering excellent value for a flagship device, with storage ranging from 256GB to 1TB. Although the storage isn’t expandable, offering the same sizes as other smartphone models that cost at least RM1500 more is a great deal in my book.
Next, the Xiaomi 14 Pro features an AMOLED display with a 6.73-inch screen. The AMOLED provides an eye-watering peak brightness of 3000 nits. While the screen size is slightly smaller, users get a display with the highest resolution in the industry in return. Xiaomi 14 Pro definitely takes the win in this round.

Now for the feature most people focus on—the camera. Xiaomi has moved away from the ImEx 99 sensor from Sony and is using a custom-built sensor this year. The new sensor is 40% smaller than the ImEx 99, but Xiaomi claims the performance is just as good despite the size difference.
In terms of battery, Xiaomi has a 4880mAh battery with 120W fast charging, while the Huawei Mate 60 Pro comes with a 5000mAh battery and 88W charging. Samsung’s 5000mAh battery charges at a slower 45W. Despite differences in battery size, all devices deliver strong battery life, but Xiaomi wins in charging speed.
Overheating shouldn’t be an issue for non-gamers, as the daily performance is more than sufficient. All three models are compatible for gaming, but Samsung has done the best job at preventing overheating.
Verdict
In conclusion, the Xiaomi 14 Pro delivers a magnificent flagship experience with robust performance. It’s paired with top-tier specs and equipment that deserve plenty of compliments. Both devices mentioned in this review offer excellent displays, natural color representation, and powerful cameras. However, the Xiaomi 14 Pro has further proven that an extravagant experience doesn’t necessarily come with a luxurious price. We hope this review helps, and we wish you the best day ever!
